Vice Governor Zhou Haibing Meets New Zealand's Consul General in Guangzhou

On November 28, Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City, met in Changsha with Rachel Crump, consul general of New Zealand in Guangzhou, and her delegation. Mayor Zhou Haibing welcomed the guests. He said that Changsha is a historical and cultural city with a history for more than 3,000 years, and it is also an internet-famous city that attracts young people from far and wide and a happy city that is suitable for living and working. Changsha has taken significant strides towards high-quality development. In particular, the city enjoys a solid industrial foundation in construction machinery, electronic information, and other key sectors. Changsha is following the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focusing on the beautiful blueprint outlined in the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy, implementing the requirements of standing at the forefront and setting an example in eight aspects, making every effort to build itself into a global research and development center, and striving to advance high-quality development and modernization. Changsha and New Zealand enjoy broad prospects for cooperation and a promising future. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen exchanges and interactions, expand cooperation areas, and jointly push forward the bilateral relations.

Consul General Rachel Crump said that Changsha and New Zealand have longstanding close exchanges and profound friendship. There is great potential for bilateral cooperation in import and export trade, manufacturing, tourism, education, and other fields. It is hoped that both sides will further strengthen friendly exchanges, carry out more practical cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win development.
