On November 19, a train carrying 50 minibuses departed from the Huaihua International Land Port and travelled along the China-Laos Railway to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The 14-seat vehicles worth 7 million CNY were produced by the Jingma Motor Company of the Jiangling Motor Group.

The train departed from Jiangxi's Xiangtang Railway Station on November 8 and arrived at Hunan's Huaihua International Land Port on November 15. The exported vehicles completed the customs clearance process at Huaihua and then were transported to Vientiane.

It was the first "Nanchang-Huaihua West-Vientiane" international freight train service launched by the Huaihua, Zhongnan, and Nanchang Xiangtang International Land Ports. The launch also marks a synergy by Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces, indicating that the Huaihua International Land Port has become an important hub for goods exported from Hubei and Jiangxi to ASEAN countries.

The launch of the train service is a milestone for the three ports in implementing the agreement to join in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the China-Laos Railway network, integrating into the new paradigm of "Belt and Road" Initiative. The launch has opened up a new channel to facilitate trade between China and Laos and has expanded "Huaihua-Vientiane" international freight train services to central China.

Through cooperation, the Huaihua, Zhongnan, and Nanchang Xiangtan International Land Ports give play to their respective advantages, exporting goods from central and western China to Laos more efficiently and quickly, and further increasing their influence in Southeast Asia. The collaboration will help improve foreign trade relations between China and Southeast Asian countries, providing more imported goods for these countries and reducing their domestic prices.
