Certificates of Changsha's top 10 outstanding cases for building child-friendly cities in 2023 were granted to relevant units. Excellent works and excellent organization units shortlisted for the "environment-friendly and child-friendly" works collection activity in Changsha in 2023 were also awarded certificates.
Reading Start backpacks were distributed to representatives of the families who have applied for them. Reading Start is a non-profit program for preschoolers and their families co-launched by the Shenzhen iRead Foundation and the Shenzhen government.
In addition, from November 18 to 20, Changsha will also light up some iconic buildings in the city with blue lights and slogans symbolizing child friendliness. This is the seventh consecutive year that Changsha has responded to the "Lighting up for Children" initiative launched by UNICEF. The Parent-Child Public Library of Changsha Women's and Children's Activity Center will also recruit 90 groups of families to carry out a series of themed activities such as scroll painting, on-site quizzes, and children's movie play.
