The China Southern Airlines will increase its passenger flights between Changsha and Nairobi, Kenya to three flights every week beginning from December 22. This will be the airlines' second adjustment to the operation schedule on this route this year, following an increase to two flights every week this April.
The flights on this route will be operated every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The CZ6043 flight will depart from Changsha at 00:50 Beijing time and arrive in Nairobi at 07:30 local time. The return flight CZ6044 will take off from Nairobi at 15:00 local time and arrive in Changsha at 08:00 Beijing time the next day.
A limited number of discount tickets will be available on this route in the coming days. The maximum discount for a one-way flight from Changsha to Nairobi will be 4,140 yuan per trip, while for a one-way flight from Nairobi to Changsha will be 4,230 yuan. The cheapest round-trip ticket will be priced at 5,910 yuan per trip. Tax fees on flights are not included in the prices mentioned.
The China Southern Airlines launched the first regular direct passenger flight from Hunan to Africa in June 2019, which has shortened the travel time from Changsha to Nairobi to less than 12 hours. Over the past four years, it has operated more than 400 flights on this route, handling over 70,000 passenger trips between China and Africa.
