Sui Zhongcheng, Standing Committee member and United Front Work Department director of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, led a delegation to Brazil, Argentina, and Panama from October 25 to November 4. During the visit, Mr. Sui provided an overview of Hunan's situation and strengthened practical cooperation with the three countries in areas such as economy, trade, and the affairs of overseas Chinese.
Mr. Sui and his delegation visited influential business associations including the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo in Brazil, the Argentine-Chinese Chamber of Production, Industry and Commerce, and the Panamanian Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The delegation also conducted field visits to trade enterprises like Timber and Raenco, expanding economic and trade cooperation. They also visited companies from Hunan, including Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology, Longping Agriscience, and the Wasion Group, in the three countries to establish resource connections and explore new market opportunities.
Promotional events introducing Hunan's economic development and exchange meetings with local enterprises were held in Brazil and Argentina, seeking to create further collaboration opportunities. Mr. Sui and his delegation conducted discussions with leaders and representatives of local Hunanese associations, the Hunan Friendship Association, the Chinese Association of Brazil, the Chinese Culture and Art Association in Argentina, and the China-Brazil Economic, Trade, and Cultural Exchange Association. Through the visits, they gained a better understanding of the development of overseas Chinese leadership, and overseas Chinese businesses and enterprises, and sought to strengthen connections and friendships with these groups. They also invited overseas Chinese to return to Hunan and participate in the province's economic and social development.
Mr. Sui emphasized that Hunan has enormous potential for expanding economic and trade cooperation and strengthening exchanges with overseas Chinese communities in Latin America. He stressed the need to focus on two main themes, economic and trade collaboration and overseas Chinese affairs, to identify key points of connection and efforts. Efforts will be made to integrate resources, innovate approaches, and establish platforms, aiming to promote practical cooperation in various fields and sectors, to implement the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and to achieve the blueprint of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy.
During their visits, the delegation conducted in-depth discussions with local government officials and university leaders. They also signed cooperation and exchange agreements with overseas industry and commerce groups.
