Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, led a delegation to visit the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on the afternoon of November 5, 2023.
He asked to thoroughly implement President Xi Jinping's important exposition on opening up and the spirit of his congratulatory letter to the 6th CIIE. Efforts should be made to utilize CIIE to carry out international cooperation, and accelerate the building of Hunan into a hub of reform and opening up in inland regions. He called for efforts to promote Hunan's integration with the global community and achieve win-win results.

As the first national-level exhibition themed on imports, CIIE has become a grand international platform for China to promote market matchmaking, industrial integration, mutual promotion of creativity, and mutual understanding of rules globally. The sixth session is being held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. There are 1,887 enterprises and units and 4,965 registered participants from Hunan Province, which exceeded those of the previous sessions.
