Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with Cheng Yan Davis, co-founder and president of the Forum for World Education (FWE), and her entourage on the morning of October 31, 2023.

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed the guests and briefed them on Hunan's educational, cultural, economic, and social development. He noted that Hunan Province is a populous and economic powerhouse, with a developed manufacturing industry and profound culture. Hunan people have always been open-minded and innovative. We are willing to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with FWE, and make new contributions to further promoting China-US educational communication and collaboration, he added.

President Yan introduced FWE's progress in recent years. She remarked that university exchanges and educational partnership is a bridge to link the people, especially the youth of both China and the United States. She hoped to enhance cooperation and communication in the exchange student programs and exchange visits between the two sides. This will enable more American university students to learn about Hunan through various ways and continuously advance the friendship between the people of both sides.
