Hunan Province organized cultural and tourism promotion activities under the slogan of "Welcome to Charming Hunan" in Japan from October 26 to 29. The province held cultural and tourism promotion events, cultural and tourism photo exhibitions and "Hunan brands" boutique exhibitions in Tokyo and Shiga. Additionally, the Hunan delegation attended the Tourism Expo Japan 2023 in Osaka. On October 26, Li Aiwu and her delegation visited the Hunan booth at the Tourism Expo Japan 2023 and conducted market research at other Asian countries' booths. They gathered insights into the new trends in tourism consumption and specific product demands of tourists from countries such as Japan, South Korea, India, and Vietnam which are key sources of tourists in Asia. Li Aiwu also met with Ma Xiaochen, director of the China National Tourism Administration Osaka Office.
On October 27, the Hunan Cultural and Tourism Photo Exhibition and the "Hunan Brands" Boutique Exhibition were held in Shiga Prefecture. Through various formats like graphic displays, videos, product interactive events, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and artistic performances, the cultural tourism image under the slogan of "Welcome to Charming Hunan" was presented to the public. Travel routes, cultural and creative products, and tourism commodities with Hunan characteristics were also introduced.
On October 29, the Hunan Cultural and Tourism Promotion Event was held in Tokyo. It was attended and addressed by leaders from the China National Tourist Administration Tokyo Office, the China Cultural Center in Tokyo, and other diplomatic missions.
