Eleven sub-venues were set up and more than 250 experts discussed topics such as sustainable development and policies and regulations of the lead and zinc industry, exploration and deep mining of lead and zinc resources, selection and smelting of lead and zinc, secondary resource utilization, equipment and intelligence, environmental protection and green development, ecological restoration of mines, and downstream industries related to lead and zinc.
Hunan is rich in mineral resources and has a complete range of minerals. It is known as the "hometown of non-ferrous metals" both at home and abroad. A non-ferrous industrial system that integrates collection, selection, metallurgy, and materials has taken shape, becoming one of the seven pillar industries with the most local advantages. The symposium has provided an international scientific and technological exchange platform for domestic and foreign nonferrous metallurgy experts and scholars, and will also play a positive role in promoting the research, application and development of the lead and zinc industry in Hunan Province, and facilitate the development of Hunan's non-ferrous metal industry and scientific and technological innovation.
