A press conference on the second International Summit on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Applications is held in Changsha on October 17. It announced that the summit will take place in Zhuzhou between October 26 and 28.

This summit, with the theme of "Sharing BDS with the World", will feature 13 special events, including an opening ceremony and a main forum, four thematic forums, seven supporting activities, and one achievement exhibition. The exhibition area covers a total of 5,500 square meters. It is divided into four sections, showcasing major achievements of BDS, the results of large-scale applications, Hunan's development and utilization, and prospects for the future.

In recent years, Hunan has been vigorously promoting the development of the BeiDou industry from such aspects as technological breakthroughs, commercialization of research outcomes, project cooperation, large-scale applications, and industrial agglomeration. In 2022, the total output value of Hunan's BeiDou industry reached 38 billion yuan. Hunan has established several industrial clusters, such as the National (Changsha) BeiDou Professional Demonstration Park, Zhuzhou BeiDou Industrial Park, and Yueyang BeiDou Navigation Application Industrial Park, attracting and nurturing 515 companies. A full industrial chain covering space segment, ground segment, and user segment has been basically formed.
