The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Intercity Railway will implement a new operating plan starting from October 11, 2023. It aims to increase operations and reduce intervals of the trains in the Changsha areas in the west of the Xiangjiang River.

Eight pairs of bullet trains and eight pairs of intercity trains will be added to the intercity railway west line between the Changsha and the Changsha West stations.

Based on the new plan, the number of bullet trains and intercity trains running on the CZT Intercity Railway west line will reach 63 pairs in total, including 43.5 pairs of bullet trains and 19.5 pairs of intercity trains. The average interval will be shortened from the previous 20 minutes to not more than 15 minutes. The south line bound for Zhuzhou and Xiangtan will remain in operation, with an average interval of within 10 minutes.
