The Joint Visa Application Center for France, the Netherlands, and Cyprus in Changsha reopened on September 27, 2023. Mr. Jean-Yves ROUX, consul general of France in Wuhan, attended and delivered a speech. This means that Changsha citizens will no longer need to travel to Wuhan to apply for visas for these three countries.

The French Visa Application Center in Changsha was established in 2016 to meet the visa application needs of Chinese travelers to France. The center was later moved to the 15th floor of Dolton Hotel Changsha in downtown Changsha in 2019. Applications have risen year by year since the center was established. The center’s visa application volume rose from 9,323 in 2016 to 12,186 in 2019.
Previously, the center had suspended application services due to the epidemic three years ago. The reopening of the center will make it easier for local applicants in Hunan to apply for visas.
After reopening, the center now offers more comprehensive and attentive services. It is equipped with self-service computers, self-service photographic equipment, and other facilities to enhance the application process. In addition, the center has expanded its services to include assistance with the preparation of materials. Applicants are provided support in filling out forms and ensuring the completeness and compliance of all required documents before submitting their visa application.
