Hunan Vice Governor Zhang Yingchun Meets with Timor-Leste Guests

On September 25, Zhang Yingchun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and vice governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with Tomás do Rosário Cabral, minister of State Administration of Timor-Leste.

On behalf of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, Zhang Yingchun extended a warm welcome to Tomás do Rosário Cabral and his delegation. She mentioned that Hunan has a profound history and culture, a solid industrial foundation, and clear advantages in agriculture. It has close economic and trade relations with foreign countries, providing favorable conditions for promoting high-level opening-up. China and Timor-Leste are good partners based on equality and mutual assistance, and the exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and Timor-Leste are growing closer. Zhang hoped that both sides would strengthen cooperation in agriculture and other industries, deepen exchanges between governments, continue to promote cultural exchanges, and take more concrete measures in the pursuit of greater results in bilateral cooperation.

Tomás do Rosário Cabral thanked Hunan for its contributions to bilateral cooperation and expressed the hope for more fruitful cooperation in agriculture, economy and trade, healthcare, and other fields. He welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in infrastructure, energy, and other sectors in Timor-Leste and emphasized the deepening of friendship between the two peoples.
