The 2023 list of top 50 global construction machinery manufacturers was released at the Construction Machinery Technology Innovation Summit & Prime Suppliers 500 Launch Ceremony 2023, which was held in Beijing on September 19. Thirteen Chinese enterprises were shortlisted, making China the country with the highest number of selected enterprises. Five of the enterprises are from Changsha. They are SANY, Zoomlion, CRCHI, Sunward, and SINOBOOM, ranking 5th, 9th, 32nd, 38th and 48th respectively.

The list was jointly released by the Organizing Committee of the T50 Summit of World Construction Machinery Industry and the China Construction Machinery Magazine. Initiated in 2002, the list has been updated for 22 consecutive times.

Known as China's "Capital of Construction Machinery", Changsha boasts five top 50 global construction machinery manufacturers including Sany, Zoomlion and CRCHI. The industrial scale of local construction machinery clusters has ranked first in the country for over 10 consecutive years. Locally produced construction machinery varieties account for about 70% of the country's total, with the output value constituting about 23% of the country's total.
