Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met with Qiu Xin, secretary of the CPC Fudan University Committee, and his entourage in Changsha on the morning of September 20, 2023.

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed the guests. He said that President Xi Jinping had visited Hunan for three times since the 18th CPC National Congress, and drew a beautiful blueprint of "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy for the province. The realization of this blueprint requires the collaboration and utilization of resources and strengths from across the entire country in various aspects.

Fudan University is a comprehensive research-oriented university with global influence, and has a sound foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with Hunan Province. He expected the university to give full play to its own advantages; actively engage in and support Hunan's development and construction; and, further strengthen pragmatic collaboration with Hunan in education, talent, and science and technology, to realize mutual benefits and win-win results. Hunan will provide high-quality services to facilitate the development of Fudan University's talents and research teams in the province, he added.

Secretary Qiu thanked Hunan for its support to Fudan University. He remarked that Hunan Province, as a major education powerhouse, has a profound relationship with Fudan University. He hoped to combine the needs of Hunan Province and the strengths of Fudan University to deepen cooperation in such fields as scientific and technological innovation, integration of industry and education, inheritance of the red or revoluntionary culture, and cultivation and utilization of talents, so as to better contribute to the high-quality development of both sides.
