Hunan Inks 187 Projects with "Three Types of Top 500 Enterprises"

Hunan set up 193 new foreign-funded enterprises in the first seven months of this year. The foreign direct investment into Hunan Province, in actual use, amounted to 933 million USD. The paid-in domestic investment grew by 9.4% year-on-year to 857.828 billion CNY. Among them, 92 "three types of top 500 enterprises", namely Fortune Global 500 enterprises, top 500 Chinese enterprises, and top 500 Chinese private enterprises, contracted 187 investment projects worth 260.191 billion CNY provincewide, up 19.9% year on year. The Department of Commerce of Hunan Province announced recently.


Hunan released advantageous industrial chain investment information and 100 key industrial investment projects this year, involving a total investment of 300.295 billion CNY. It had in-depth communication with more than 50 multinational companies such as Becton Dickinson and FMG.


Changsha has made great efforts to build itself into a global R&D center, and established special municipal government teams in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen for investment attraction. It has focused on Fortune Global 500 companies, foreign capital and foreign-funded enterprises, and state-owned enterprises directly under the central government to attract investment, and strived for the landing of R&D headquarters and R&D center projects in Changsha. Changsha newly introduced 25 projects of "three types of top 500 enterprises" during the January-July period.


In the Yangtze River Delta, Changsha has been discussing and collaborating with companies like AstraZeneca and Fresenius Kabi on 34 pharmaceutical projects, and built a platform for exchanges and cooperation with domestic first-class bio-industrial parks such as Zhangjiang Hi-tech Industrial Park in Shanghai. It has also selected 58 key projects from 564 major enterprises in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, covering advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, advanced energy storage and other key industries.


Hunan would continue to strengthen investment attraction from the "three types of top 500 enterprises", large-scale state-owned enterprises directly under the central government, and industrial leading enterprises; organize "European Fair", multinational corporations visiting Hunan, and other investment promotion activities; and, introduce major foreign investment projects like Stellantis, Yum, Perennial, and Topgolf.
