August 19, 2023 marks the sixth Chinese Doctor's Day. A special train themed "Join Together to Build a Healthy China, Care for Life and Save Life" will be launched on Changsha Metro Line 6 the same day. This will be Hunan's first subway train dedicated to paying respects to doctors. In the coming month, posters featuring 6 well-known doctors and 10 famous medical teams from 11 hospitals in Changsha will be on show at the special train, as part of a public welfare exhibition tour on the subway nationwide.

This year's exhibition tour has successively entered seven cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Changsha and Xiamen. Twelve special trains on 10 lines display a total of 1,560 posters of famous medical workers, including 11 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 128 hospital management experts and 220 discipline leaders.

The Changsha event was sponsored by the MD Weekly and other units, and co-organized by the Changsha Evening News. It aims to use the professional image of doctors to promote health, spread knowledge and prevention concepts such as first aid, call on the whole society to pay attention to health, improve national health literacy, and facilitate the implementation of the Healthy China Strategy.

These famous doctors and medical teams are from the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the Hunan Provincial People's Hospital, the Hunan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, the Reproductive & Genetic Hospital of CITIC-Xiangya, the National Engineering Research Center for Human Stem Cells, and the Changsha Aier Eye Hospital.
