August 15 marked China's first National Ecology Day. The 2023 Changsha Eco-Environmental Protection Industry Supply Chain Forum was held on that day. The forum announced the city's pollution prevention and control projects and environmental requirements, which focused on new products in green manufacturing, new technologies in green and low-carbon industries, and new developments in green finance. The launch of the projects and environmental requirements aims to deliver more green and profitable results in industrial development.
As one of the 22 industrial chains in Changsha, the ecological environment oversight technology and application industry chain consists of over 300 enterprises so far. These enterprises are primarily concentrated in five major areas: green building materials, urban waste treatment, online monitoring, oversight facilities, and environmental services. They are located in various zones such as the Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, Liuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Yuhua Economic and Technological Development Zone. A group of leading enterprises have been nurtured, including Zoomlion Enviro, Broad Clean Air, Yonker Environmental Protection, Aerospace Kaitian, and Lihero Technology. Among them, there are 6 A-share listed companies (Yonker Environmental Protection, Lihero Technology, HNAC Technology, Junxin Environmental Protection, Airbluer Environmental Protection, and Sainz Environmental Protection), 14 enterprises listed on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), and nearly 20 to-be-listed environmental protection enterprises. Currently there are 175 large-scale enterprises and research institutions, as well as 90 high-tech enterprises. In 2022, Changsha introduced 13 major industrial projects in environmental oversight, with a total investment of 10.2 billion yuan. Since the beginning of this year, the city has introduced 16 projects each with an investment of over 10 million yuan, including 9 projects each with an investment of over 100 million yuan.
