According to the Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Shuangqiang" work for harvesting early-season rice and transplanting late-season rice seedlings in Hunan Province has basically been completed. After the harvest of early-season rice, 19.07 million mu (about 1.27 million hectares) of late-season rice seedlings have been transplanted across Hunan.

In recent days, several rice transplanters have been working in a demonstration farmland of grain production in Xiushan Town, Taojiang County, Yiyang City. Within a brief period, they have transplanted rice seedlings across a 12-mu (0.8-hectares) field.

A rice seedling thrower carrying seedling trays ran back and forth in the paddy fields in Yonghe Township, Hengshan County. Soon rows of lush green seedlings were transplanted into the paddy fields. So far, 185,000 mu (12,333 hectares) of early-season rice has been harvested in Hengshan County, and the majority of late-season rice seedlings already been transplanted.
