The National Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice aimed at building national logistics hubs in 2023. Thirty national logistics hubs, such as the Changsha Production Service-oriented National Logistics Hub, were included on the 2023 construction list, according to the Department of Transportation of Hunan Province on August 9.
Hunan already had four national logistics hubs on the construction list, namely, the Changsha land port-based, Yueyang port-based, Hengyang land port-based and Huaihua commercial and trade service-oriented national logistics hubs. With the newly added one, Changsha becomes the only city in Hunan with four types of logistics hubs featuring land port, air port, production service, and commercial and trade service.
There are more than 35,000 enterprises engaged in logistics activities in Changsha, including nine enterprises with an annual revenue of more than 1 billion yuan. Changsha is home to 109 logistics enterprises at the A level or above, ranking 8th in China and 1st in Hunan Province and accounting for 39.2% of the province's total A-level or above logistics enterprises. Among them, there are ten 5A-level logistics enterprises.
