CHANGSHA, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- As one of the prototypes for the scene in the movie Avatar, the famous Wulingyuan scenic area in central China's Zhangjiajie will play host to the Slackline Season from August 16 to 22.

Slackliners from home and abroad will compete in the Huangshizhai scenic spot, the largest natural viewing deck of Wulingyuan. At a terrifying altitude of 1,092 meters, competitors will walk on slacklines slung between two mountains.

Since 2018, Huangshizhai has hosted the annual slackline competitions, attracting athletes from around the world to compete.

This year's slackline season has a longer period and more content than the past competitions, and it will feature a slackline training camp, a slackline competition, and a special performance.
