The 2023 Changsha Urban Youth Festival and the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park Open Week were launched on July 31. Young people from all over the country are invited to participate in such activities as a forum on youth creativity and development and creative fairs to savor the youthful charm of Changsha. Meanwhile, six Urban Youth Festival activities are carried out across the city.
At the launch ceremony, the Changsha Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) released an e-book on inclusive policies for youths. Departments at all levels of the city introduced 85 inclusive policies for young people in aspects such as youth talent, employment and entrepreneurship, and housing and security, with a focus on the most pressing difficulties of high concern to young people and key issues related to the building of a youth-oriented development city.
At the youth creativity and development forum, Ningji Lemon Tea founder Fu Linya, also a post-95s entrepreneur; Sheng Weitian, principle scientist of Changsha Intelligent Driving Institute and a post-90s doctoral degree holder; Liang Zikang, co-founder and CEO of Chuangyi Technology Limited; and Wang Xu, executive director of the Cultural Tourism Research Center, Institute for Cultural Creativity, Tsinghua University introduced the far-reaching impact of youth power on the industry and the changes it brings about in cultural creativity, sci-tech innovation, new consumption, and other aspects.
In recent years, Changsha has issued 45 upgraded talent policies, and conducted a "city partner" campaign aimed at promoting youth employment and entrepreneurship, a youth gathering and other events, in an effort to encourage young people to strive, build dreams and take root in Changsha. Last June, Changsha was included in the first batch of youth-oriented development cities in the country.
