A 36-member delegation from the IMSW Program in "Women's Leadership and Social Development" at China Women's University visited Hunan Women's University (HWU) on July 3, 2023. The delegation was composed of international postgraduate students from 15 Asian, African and Latin American countries, including Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Namibia, and Venezuela.

The delegation visited HWU's educational achievements exhibition and the exhibition of the development of women's education development.

The delegation members held an in-depth discussion on the topics of protection of women's rights and interests, women's education and development, women's innovation and entrepreneurship, and cultivation of good family traditions.

"I think Hunan's working mechanism for protecting women and children, as well as the 'Hu Lei (guarding the buds)' Foundation which provides legal right protection and caring and aiding service for the mechanism, are great," said Yorcee Ellen Blessing, a postgraduate student from Liberia. She expected to bring the Chinese experiences back to Liberia to advance the development of women's affairs in her country.

Directors of the Women's Federation of Hunan Province introduced the federation's projects for women's health, quality development, and innovation and entrepreneurship, and Hunan's achievements in protecting the rights and interests of women and children. A community representative presented a government-supporting and hospital-community-enterprise-school collaborative public benefit platform and related programs for caring women and children. A marriage and family service center director introduced the collaborative social work service for domestic violence victims.
