Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, inspected the economic and social development of Yueyang on June 27, 2023. He then participated in the theme activities of the first deputy group of Yueyang City as a deputy to the provincial people's congress.

Secretary Shen asked to study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important discourse on promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt; firmly shoulder the responsibility of protecting the Yangtze River; and, give full play to the regional, ecological, and industrial advantages, to make Yueyang's contribution to the high-quality advancement of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

On June 27, Secretary Shen learned about the planning and construction progress of the caprolactam industry chain relocation and upgrading transformation development project at the Baling Petrochemical Company.

On June 27, Secretary Shen inspected the company development and safety production at a workshop of the Hunan Panda New Materials Co., Ltd.

On June 27, Secretary Shen visited the Chenglingji Port Depot of COFCO Trading Nanliang (Yueyang) Co., Ltd. to learn about grain logistics and storage.

On June 27, Secretary Shen conducted a surprise inspection at a restaurant to assess the gas facilities, gas usage, and safety testing in the kitchen.

On June 27, Shen came to the Yueyang Tower Scenic Spot to gain a better understanding of the cultural heritage, heritage protection, and scenic spot management.

On June 27, Secretary Shen Xiaoming, together with deputies of the first deputy group of Yueyang City to the provincial people's congress, conducted a field study on integrated medical services and elderly care, nursing care services, and the lives of the elderly residents living in a nursing home in the Yueyanglou District.

On June 27, Secretary Shen came to the Dongfeng Lake to inspect the water quality and learned about the efforts of treatment of black and malodorous water bodies, and introduction of industrial relocation and upgrading in Yueyang City.
