The "Rural Revitalization in Hunan" – 2023 Overseas Chinese Media Executives' Hunan Tour was launched in Changsha on June 26. Twenty-four overseas Chinese media representatives from 19 countries, including Malaysia, Japan, Brazil, Canada, France, South Africa, the United States, and the Philippines, will spend the coming week to visit Hunan's countryside, go deep into the fields, and experience the achievements made by Hunan in rural revitalization.

The media group will visit Liuyang in Changsha, Changde, Yuanling in Huaihua, Fenghuang and Shibadong Village in Xiangxi, and Sangzhi in Zhangjiajie. They will learn about the integration of local culture and tourism and special industries to boost rural revitalization; the integration of industry and city to promote the integration of resettlement areas into new urbanization; and, the integration of traditional village preservation and utilization with rural revitalization.

The event is part of a series of activities organized by the China News Service to proactively engage with overseas Chinese media and strengthen connections with the rest of the world. It regularly organizes overseas Chinese media executives to report on events in Chinese mainland. Since 2012, with the support of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, it has been held in Hunan for several times, and participated by more than 100 overseas Chinese media executives and journalists to tour and report on Hunan.

The activity was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Hunan Provincial Rural Revitalization Administration, and China News Service, and hosted by the Hunan Branch of China News Service.
