"With the opening of the Laos-China Railway international passenger service, an increasing number of Chinese people are entering Laos through the Mohan-Boten port, leading to a surge in enthusiasm for tourism," Khom Douangchantha explained. Laos has many advantageous tourism resources, including unique world cultural heritage sites, natural landscapes, and local customs. In particular, each province in Laos has its own specialty snacks. In Luang Prabang, visitors can try sausages, pickled goods, kaipen (a Laotian snack made of fresh water green algae, garlic, vegetables, and sesame seeds), and salads. Other provinces serve up delicacies such as bing gai (Laotian grilled chicken) and tam maak hoong (a Southeast Asian green papaya salad). These are all Laotian delicacies that Chinese friends enjoy very much.
"Hunan is absolutely a destination worth visiting!" Khom Douangchantha said. He has been to Hunan once before, following a Laotian delegation to Hunan when direct flights from Vientiane, Laos to Changsha, Hunan were first inaugurated. During his stay, he visited many tourist attractions across Hunan and was impressed at how clean the cities were. After returning to Laos, he recommended Hunan to many people.
