The 2023 Central China (Changsha) Printing Industry Expo opened at Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center on June 14. The three-day expo is composed of 1 expo, 1 exchange seminar, 8 special activities, and 3 inspection tour routes to printing enterprises.
The expo has attracted more than 200 upstream and downstream enterprises and industry leaders in the printing industry. In an exhibition area of 18,000 square meters, there are four sections respectively displaying national printing equipment and consumables, national advertising signage equipment, "Changsha Printing" themed publications, and Changsha's ten categories of printing products. The ten categories of printing products include Constitution of the Communist Party of China, theme books, fireworks packaging, alcoholic drinks packaging, food packaging, and internet-famous products. New pursuit, new products, new crafts, and new ideas of Changsha's printing industry are demonstrated.
Various special activities are organized during the expo, such as a seminar on high-quality development of printing industry, an event dedicated to the publicity and implementation of digital printing (variable QR code printing) quality requirements standards, and several training meetings for printing enterprise leaders.
In recent years, Changsha's printing industry has shown green, digital, intelligent and integrated characteristics and made strides toward high-quality development. The total output value of Changsha's printing industry rose 6.6% year-on-year to 20.869 billion yuan in 2022, constituting more than 7% of the city's cultural industry and ranking third in the country. The added value of the printing industry made up 8.58% of GDP.
