Li Dianxun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with Paul Chet Greene, the Antigua and Barbuda minister for Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Trade Immigration & Barbuda Affairs.
Executive Vice Governor Li welcomed the guests and briefed them on Hunan. He noted the province's advantageous geographical location, great market potential, sound industrial foundation, and rich scientific and educational resources. Hunan has become an integral component of China's regional economic landscape and has maintained many favorable conditions in promoting high-level opening up.
He hoped that both sides fully explore their respective market demand and supply capacity; deepen exchanges and cooperation in investment, trade, science and education; and, advance collaboration to achieve greater results at higher levels and with more practical measures. Li warmly welcomed people from Central America, including Antigua and Barbuda to invest in and tour around Hunan.
Minister Greene thanked Hunan for its contribution to the cooperation between the two sides and expressed hope that the partnership between them would be strengthened in the fields of agriculture, trade, and tourism.
