Li Dianxun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with a Honduran party and government delegation led by Melvin Redondo, vice minister of Economic Development Ministry of Honduras, on June 5, 2023.

Executive Vice Governor Li welcomed the guests on behalf of the provincial government. He noted that Hunan holds an important position in China's regional economic development pattern. It boasts advantageous transportation, large market scale, good industrial foundation, rich scientific and educational resources, and favorable conditions for high-level opening up. Hunan and Honduras have great potential for cooperation in investment and trade, science and technology, education, culture and tourism, and other fields, he said, expecting both sides to fully explore respective market demand and supply capacity, pragmatically promote collaboration, facilitate respective development, and benefit the people of both sides.

Vice Minister Redondo remarked that during his visit he was deeply impressed by the vitality and potential of Hunan's development. He hoped to expand bilateral trade and establish strong friendship between both sides. He also expressed his anticipation of seeing more people from Hunan visit, invest, and do business in Honduras.

The delegation also attended the Hunan-Honduras Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium on the same day.
