Changsha's first enterprise open day event was launched in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone on May 27. It was guided by the Organization Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and hosted by the Changsha Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Ninety-eight teachers and students from the National University of Defense Technology, Central South University and Hunan University would visit 6 leading enterprises in the development zone in the coming two days to experience enterprises' production process and work environment and gain insights into Changsha's industrial development. The move will help better attract and retain college graduates in Changsha.
During the event, university teachers and students were organized to walk into 6 leading enterprises including Sunward, Aerospace Kaitian Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Broad Group, Sany Group, Hunan Vanguard Group, and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Cooperation Limited. Their itinerary included a tour of enterprise exhibition halls, zero-distance contact with workshops, and enterprise product experience. After these, some companies held job information sessions and had in-depth conversations with graduates of 2023 and 2024 who are interested in them.
These enterprises offered 449 job vacancies in such fields as materials, chemistry, software engineering, computer science and technology. A master's or doctoral degree was required for 319 job vacancies, accounting for 71%. Thanks to the precise invitation by the organizer in the early stages, 94% of the participating students held a master's or doctoral degree, making them highly suitable for the needs of enterprises.
The event is one of the series activities of 2023 national college students' Changsha trip. The following enterprise open day events will be carried out around an industrial park or an industrial chain, and the organizer will invite college students according to the needs of enterprises. Besides, a five-day Changsha Industry Experience Week activity will be held. The Changsha Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will collect and release demand for internship positions from enterprises across the city, and mobilize students from universities nationwide to start internships in Changsha enterprises, in a bid to attract and retain more graduates in Changsha.
