Hunan exported 29,690 vehicles worth 5.717 billion CNY in the first four months of this year, an increase of 323.2% and 201.8% respectively, Changsha Customs' data showed on May 24, 2023.

Recently, a special train fully-loaded with Geely automobiles departed from the Changsha International Railway Port and headed for Belarus. The company head introduced that as of mid-May, Hunan Geely had exported 6,768 cars (including complete sets of spare parts) through the China-Europe Railway Express, which has exceeded last year's total export volume. The recognition and purchase desire of the overseas automobile market for Chinese automobile brands continue to rise. Geely expected to export 15,000 vehicles this year, doubling from a year ago.

Since the beginning of this year, Changsha Customs has implemented several facilitation initiatives, such as declaration in advance, railway fast customs clearance, and non-arrival inspection, to shorten the export clearance time for automobiles and other products. In view of the characteristics of automobile transportation, such as occupying large space, it also instructed enterprises to innovate the export of whole sets of spare parts, destination assembly, and special cargo cage transport train, to reduce transportation costs.
