Dongkou wood carving, originated in Dongkou County, Hunan's Shaoyang City, has a long history. Since 1980s, Dongkou wood carving products have been sold overseas. Fu Lixian is an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Dongkou wood carving. His grandfather Fu Manshan and father Fu Jinlin were experienced workers in local wood carving plant. Fu has been dedicated to exploring new orientations for Dongkou wood carving in recent years. By combining traditional techniques with modern culture, he has created a variety of exquisite wood carvings.

Dongkou wood carving has been shortlisted for Hunan's provincial-level intangible cultural heritage item. The Dongkou wood carving products have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions.
