The 3rd Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) opened at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of May 12, 2023. Wan Gang, vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the China Association for Science and Technology, announced the opening of the exhibition. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, addressed the opening ceremony. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, presided over the ceremony. Before the opening ceremony, Wan Gang, Shen Xiaoming, Mao Weiming, and other leaders inspected the exhibition hall.

Gao Dongsheng, chief economist of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Akram Zeynalli, Azerbaijan's ambassador to China, made speeches at the opening ceremony.

Xu Niansha, president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers. Zhou Zhongwei, general manager of the Terex Corporation China Investment Co., Ltd., and Shan Guangxiu, deputy general manager of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation, gave speeches as exhibitor representatives.

The 3rd CICEE, themed "New Generation of High-end, Intelligent, and New-energy Construction Machinery", consists of 6 major events, 7 main activities, 2 competitions, and more than 100 business negotiation and matchmaking activities for enterprises. The exhibition area is 300,000 square meters, with 12 indoor pavilions, 7 outdoor exhibition areas, and 23 theme zones. About 1,500 domestic and foreign exhibitors, including 35 of the global top 50 construction machinery enterprises, and nearly 2,000 international guests of diplomatic envoys posted in China, business organizations, enterprises in China, and international commercial associations from 60 countries, were present.

The exhibition will comprehensively display new products, technologies, and ideas in the construction machinery sector. It will debut over 30 new products, release more than 200 new technologies for the first time, announce 1,000 new technologies and products of supporting enterprises, introduce 120 global innovative products and technologies, and present more than 20,000 exhibits.
