Changsha Economic and Trade Delegation Visits Entebbe, Uganda

A Changsha economic and trade delegation led by Kang Zhenlin, vice mayor of the Changsha Municipal People's Government and chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, visited Entebbe, Uganda on April 26, in a bid to further promote the friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two cities. Entebbe Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda met with the delegation that day.

During the meeting, Changsha Vice Mayor Kang introduced that Changsha has seen rapid economic and social development in recent years and is an internet-famous city among young people. He expected exchanges and cooperation with Entebbe in such fields as science, technology, education, environmental protection, economy and trade. He invited Mr. Rulinda to lead a delegation to attend the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo at the end of June.

Mr. Rulinda welcomed the delegation and thanked Changsha for its assistance in the renovation project of Entebbe-Changsha Model Primary School. He expressed his willingness to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Changsha in various fields, adding that he would attend the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha as scheduled.

After the meeting, the delegation, accompanied by Mr. Rulinda, paid a visit to the Entebbe-Changsha Model Primary School. The delegation members were warmly welcomed by students with singing and dancing performances. Robinah Nakamya, the headmistress of the school, affectionately expressed her gratitude to Changsha City for its assistance to the school. She added that with greatly improved teaching conditions, the school has become a famous public primary school in the local area, and is now trying to accommodate the growing number of pupils who want to enroll.


After the visit, Changsha Vice Mayor Kang donated 100 sets of desks to the school on behalf of the Changsha Municipal People's Government.
