A "Hunan Tour of the Mainstream Media of ASEAN Countries" is ongoing in Huaihua, Hunan Province.
"Such an immersive tour helps tourists get close to local cultural, and hence enhance their sense of belonging based on the understanding of the brilliant traditional Chinese culture and history," said Kah Khee Fong, executive editor of the Malaysia Sin Chew Daily. She recorded with her lens the historical relics in Jingping Ancient Village, the intangible cultural heritage fair in Yan'ejie Ancient Village, the Lanmen alcohol in Fengxiang Yao Village, and the vast tea garden in Chenlongguan Resort.
Huaihua is located in the southwest of Hunan Province. With 71% of its territory covered with forest, it is known as "a city that breathes". Since ancient times, Huaihua has been the start of the ancient Tea Horse Road, the transit point of the Silk Road in southern China, and the origin of Hunan merchant culture. More than 30 well-preserved ancient towns and villages are known as a "Museum of Chinese Ancient Architecture".
