A "Qi Baishi's Art World" painting copying competition was launched at the Hunan Art Museum on April 25. Chinese painting lovers from all walks of life and in all age groups participated enthusiastically, making their own copies of Qi Baishi's painting works with drawing paper and brush pens.

Chinese artist Qi Baishi is a native of Xiangtan, Hunan Province. The exhibition displaying over 140 Qi's original fine works collected by the Beijing Fine Art Academy opened in January and will last until May 3. The works cover painting, calligraphy, seal cutting, literature and many other categories.
The copying competition results will be unveiled in mid-May.
