On April 18, the 2nd China (Zhangjiajie) World Heritage Photography Exhibition opened in Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. A total of 6,556 photographs by 1,828 photographers from 83 countries and regions are on display. The photographical works showcased natural scenery and culture of 259 world heritage sites. The exhibition aims to promote the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind, raise public awareness of protecting world heritage, collect and pass on historical documents of world heritage, and exchange views on how to protect world heritage. The event helps build a global platform to share views on world heritage topics of common concern. The exhibition will last till April 24.
