On the morning of April 17, a freight train carrying 50 TEUs of 75,000 bags worth 7.5 million yuan departed from Huaihua International Land Port. It would head for Poland, a central European country, after passing through Guangzhou's Nansha Port. This was another new freight train launched by Huaihua International Land Port and Guangzhou Port Group, and a new freight train of Huitong County to transport industrial products to the outside world.
The launch of the new freight train service was a new achievement made by Huitong County in developing its export-oriented economy and actively attracting foreign investment. In 2022, the county introduced Shanghai Neoent Industrial Co., Ltd., the world's largest bag and luggage manufacturer, to build a project with an annual output of 10 million bags and luggage. Upon operation at full capacity, the project can achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan and create more than 2,000 jobs, so as to build a gathering base of the bags and luggage industrial chain and clusters in Huaihua.
Authorities at all levels made concreted efforts to ensure the safe operation of the rail-sea freight train. The Huaihua Customs set up a green channel to offer customs clearance services for Huaihua International Land Port. They visited manufacturing enterprises in advance to instruct them on dealing with customs declaration procedures, coordinated with the Nansha Customs to build the "one-stop connect" customs clearance mode, implemented 24/7 appointment customs clearance system, and provided fast customs clearance for imported and exported goods after receiving customs declaration.
