The Chenzhou Cultural Tourism and Investment Promotion Conference was held in Foshan City on April 16. Twenty-five cultural tourism projects and industrial projects were signed, with a contract amount of 10.7 billion yuan. This was a concrete measure taken by Chenzhou to integrate itself into the coordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area while seizing the opportunity of hosting the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference.
In the form of "Cultural Tourism Market + Promotion Conference", the event set up 46 booths involving Chenzhou counties (cities and districts), travel agencies, tourist attractions and local products and food. During the event, a total of 25 projects were signed, including a strategic cooperation agreement signed between Foshan Travel Agency Association and Chenzhou Federation of Tourism Resources, a marketing cooperation agreement signed between Shunde District Self-driving Tourism Association and Chenzhou Scenic Area Association, and a number of industrial and cultural tourism projects such as the high-end automation equipment project for new energy manufacturing industry in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone, the Chenzhou Paradise Hot Spring Humanistic Life Scenic Area Project, the National (Chenzhou) Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Industry Innovation Demonstration Zone Project, and the Jiahe Yuzhong Hot Spring Jiabin Lake Area Construction and Operation Project.
Foshan, an important node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, focuses on building itself into a world-renowned manufacturing base. The city's GDP reached nearly 1.27 trillion yuan in 2022. The National Development and Reform Commission issued the Work Plan for Pairing-up Cooperation in Key Cities in Revolutionary Old Areas in 2022, clarifying the establishment of pairing-up cooperation between Foshan and Chenzhou. In January, 2023, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Hunan Provincial People's Government jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Pairing-up Cooperation between Foshan and Chenzhou. In February, 2023, Foshan and Chenzhou established a Party-government joint conference system, which further enhanced exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
