At 22:00 on April 12, a B767-300 all-cargo plane carrying nearly 50 tons of cargo left the Changsha Huanghua International Airport for Tel Aviv, Israel. This marks the opening of Hunan's first direct all-cargo air route to the Middle East.
The maiden flight carried displays, mobile phone accessories, aviation material accessories, clothing, cross-border e-commerce products, and other goods.
The Changsha-Tel Aviv cargo route is run by Hunan Central South Air Service Co., Ltd. and operated by SF Airlines using a B767-300 aircraft with a maximum capacity of 52 tonnes. Two to three round-trip flights are scheduled to run between the two citis every week. The flights will mainly transport exported goods including cross-border e-commerce products, mechanical equipment, electronic products, precision instruments, and medical products, and imported goods such as electronic products, optical products, and agricultural technology products.
Tel Aviv, the second largest city in Israel, is located at the junction of Asia, Africa and Europe. It is a vital logistics transfer station and a trade hub in the Middle East.
The new route has opened up an air cargo corridor from Changsha to the Middle East, and is another safe and efficient air logistics channel for economic and trade exchanges between China and the Middle East.
Since 2023, Changsha has opened and resumed a number of international air routes. Up to now, there are 16 passenger and cargo routes in operation. The gradual recovery of international air routes has made it more convenient for passengers to travel on demand and provided efficient logistics support for economic recovery.
