The 2023 Hunan Sports Industry Expo will be held at the Changsha Red Star International Exhibition and Convention Center in Changsha between April 21 and 23.

The expo theme is "contribute to building China into a country strong in sports and revitalize consumption". It aims to develop platforms for achievement exhibition, supply-demand matchmaking, cooperation and exchanges, and national fitness promotion, via an "exhibition + meetings+ competitions" mode. Xiong Ni, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the Hunan Sports Bureau, addressed the press conference of the expo. He expected to take the opportunity of this expo to further stimulate Hunan's sports industry development, revitalize sports related consumption, construct a professional and high-end exhibition, exchange, and consumption platform for sports industry, and create a new development paradigm of Hunan's sports industry.

The 30,000-sqm exhibition area of the expo will consist of five parts, respectively showcasing:
- integrated and comprehensive development of sports industry, including sporting goods, sports recreations, sports tourism, sports organizations, fitness and technology, and sports lotteries;
- sports venue construction;
- fitness equipment;
- sports brands and enterprises; and,
- progresses in sports undertakings around Hunan Province in the new era.

Four major activities will be held during the expo, including an opening ceremony; a promotion fair for the "new product and new technologies" in sports equipment industry; a primary and middle school physical education forum; and, a university basic construction forum of the Hunan Association for Campus Management. Besides, there will be four sideline activities – a mass sports consumption festival, a meeting with world champions, a sports competition carnival, and a Huxiang intangible cultural heritage performance.
