Recently the 2023 China Tourism Commodities Competition announced a list of winners under the theme of traditional handicraft in modern life. The "Yang Shuting Seven Words and Seven Poems Embroidered Tiger Chest Bags" submitted by the Hunan Qiqi Technology Co., Ltd. won silver prize, and the "Jewelry Series with Han-era Embroidery Patterns" submitted by the Hunan Museum won bronze prize. The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism was honored as an excellent contribution organization and the Hunan Provincial Tourism Commodities Association was rated as an outstanding contribution organization.

A total of 3,568 shortlisted tourism commodities in 416 sets competed in the final stage. They were chosen and sent by 30 culture and tourism departments at provincial, municipality and autonomous region levels, the Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, eight culture and tourism bureaus at sub-provincial level, tourism associations, and tourism commodities associations (branches). After rounds of on-site preliminary examination, review and final examination, 15 sets of works won gold prizes, 30 sets of works won silver prizes, and 60 sets of works won bronze prizes.
Hosted by the China Tourism Association, the competition aimed to recommend a number of new tourism commodities that reflect traditional craftsmanship, are integrated into modern life and meet market demand to the majority of tourists.
