On the evening of March 25th, two trucks fully loaded with 500,000 clocks and watches started off from the "Chuanshan Valley of Time" Clocks and Watches Industry Park in Hengyang County, Hengyang City. These clocks and watches are Hengyang County's first batch of goods exported to South America this year. After being transferred in Shenzhen for container shipping, they will arrive in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 60 days.
This spring, the industrial park is to buzz with trucks coming and going, their whistles filling the air. The park is anticipating a boom in foreign trade this year," said a manager of a clock and watches company. He began his business trips to Southeast Asian and South American countries just after New Year's Day this year, rushing to visit partners and enterprises and reach cooperation agreements. His company's orders from Brazil, India and other countries are already scheduled for after June.

More than 20 clocks and watches producers in the industrial park have sent over 40 employees to dozens of countries and regions around the world this year. They visited existing partners, tried to develop new marketing channels, and promoted the growing reputation of the "Chuanshan Valley of Time", said the manager.
So far, 138 companies have contracted with the industrial park, and 86 have registered and settled. In an efficient and low-cost manner, these clock and watch producers can custom-tailor new products featuring high quality, diversified styles and of various classes, forming a national production cluster of clocks and watches and precision parts.
Hengyang County's clocks and watches industry is going global, with more and more companies developing business overseas. The returned Hunan-born businessmen and the local business service authorities have played crucial roles in introducing talents, capital, technologies, and other supporting factors, stabilizing orders and raising the profile of the companies.
Currently, 105 standard plants and dormitory buildings in the industrial park have been completed. Upon full operation, the industrial park will produce more than 100 million watches yearly, making an annual output value of more than 20 billion CNY, creating nearly 20,000 jobs, and paying a total tax of over 500 million CNY annually.
