Governor Mao welcomed the guests and briefed them on Hunan's development. He noted that Hunan has deep historical and cultural foundations, obvious geographical advantages, a complete industrial system, and strong scientific and technological strength. In recent years, Hunan has given top priority to high-quality development; made full use of the resources in domestic and international markets; and stepped up opening up. It has established economic and trade partnerships with 227 countries and regions and Hunan-based enterprises have entered markets in 109 countries and regions.

Hunan and FMG share a high degree of compatibility and complementarity in the development of green energy, he said, adding that the two sides may continue to open up new areas on the basis of the existing cooperation, promote in-depth collabration in the green hydrogen equipment industry, and accelerate "going global" of Hunan equipment enterprises and "bringing in" of Australian hydrogen energy resources.

Dr. Forrest remarked that Hunan has a good foundation and advantages in the field of new energy equipment. FMG is now transforming into a green renewable energy and resource company, and urgently need to build a system-integrated advanced equipment manufacturing supply chain. He expected the two sides to strengthen cooperation in improving the entire clean energy industrial chain and jointly building a clean energy equipment industrial park, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
