Hunan Vice Governor Li Jianzhong and his entourage visit the Zhejiang Provincial Seaport Investment & Operation Group Co. Ltd.

Li Jianzhong, vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, led a team to Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui provinces between March 6 and 9, 2023. Their purpose for visiting was to study and learn advanced experience in promoting high-quality development of port and shipping industries.

Peng Jiaxue, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee; Shan Xiangqian, vice governor of the People's Government of Anhui Province; Liu Shihu, deputy secretary general of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province; and, persons in charge of relevant provincial government departments and municipal government attended.

Li Xianxing, deputy secretary general of the People's Government of Hunan Province, and relevant heads of provincial government departments and Changsha and Yueyang municipal governments, joined the inspection tour.

Li and his party visited the Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province and inspected its container terminal of Meishan Port Area, Zhongzhai Specialized Ore Terminal of Chuanshan Port Area, and Yushan Petrochemical Base Terminal. They also paid a visit to the Xinshengxu Port Area and Terminal and the Longtan Port Area and Container Terminal of Nanjing Port, Jiangsu Province. In Anhui Province, they inspected the container terminal and the rail-sea combined transport base of Zhengpu Port, the Hefei Port, the Anhui Provincial Port & Shipping Group Co., Ltd., and the Intelligent Operation and Dispatching Center, and held seminars and discussions respectively.

On March 10 and 11, Vice Governor Li hosted seminars on the inspection tour. The team members talked about their learning experience and agreed that the tour had been a highly enlightening and enriching experience. They gained valuable knowledge, broadened their horizons, and had a plentitude of feelings and gains to take away from the visit.

Li asked to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the national and provincial annual "Two Sessions", and learn from the successful experience of other provinces. With a strong sense of urgency and responsibility, we should tap and give full play to the advantages and endowments of Hunan's water transportation resources; bolster the development of port and shipping industries; optimize transportation structure; reduce logistics costs; and, contributing to the building of a new modern Hunan, he added.
