The annual session of Hunan's logistics industry, also a Huaihua International Land Port promotion conference, were held in Huaihua on March 8, 2023.

According to the session, the total revenue of Hunan's logistics sector rose 5.2% year on year in 2022 to about 14.02 trillion CNY. The ratio of social logistics cost to GDP was 14.4%, shrinking 0.1% over the previous year and 0.3 percentage points lower than the national average. These implied that the logistics sector, with its strong resilience and supporting strength, has made great contributions to Hunan's steady economic and social development.

As of the end of 2022, there were more than 47,000 logistics businesses around Hunan Province, including over 1,200 large ones. There are 318 national A-Class logistics enterprises, with the total number in the front rank nationwide. Hunan has realized regular operation of international freight train service. More than 10 regular freight rail routes connect Hunan with Europe and other Asian countries, and 1,522 international freight trains were operated last year.

The session was guided by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and co-hosted by the Huaihua Municipal People's Government, Hunan Daily, Hunan Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and Hunan Cold-chain Logistics Industry Association. It presented a series of annual awards to the representative Hunan-based logistics enterprises, and released the ranking list of Hunan's cities and prefecture in terms of the A-Class enterprises, and the list of Hunan's third batch of provincial demonstration logistics parks. The Huaihua government and the Hunan Federation of Logistics and Purchasing reached a strategic cooperation agreement.

A provincial alliance of logistics hubs and cold-chain logistics bases was established in Huaihua on the day. It will be committed to constructing five important international channels and freight hubs in the province, and facilitating positive interplay of "dual circulation".
