The annual National Tree Planting Day is approaching. Planting trees via online platforms or scanning QR code are becoming a new fashion. Voluntary tree planting has entered a new stage of online-offline integrated development.

It was learned from the Forestry Department of Hunan Province that Hunan has comprehensively launched the "internet plus public voluntary tree planting" campaign. The "Hunan Public Voluntary Tree Planting Website" has issued 179 projects. Citizens may scan the following QR code to register and participate in voluntary tree planting activities nearby.

They can also perform their duties by carrying out cultivation and maintenance, nature protection, sapling planting and adoption, facility construction, donation, and voluntary services.

Hunan is also a pilot province of the national internet plus public voluntary tree planting initiative. It aims to strengthen knowledge and fun and promote both online and offline tree planting approaches, which is conducive to guiding the public to better and more conveniently fulfill their statutory tree planting obligations. In recent years, voluntary tree planting can be carried out throughout the year, via diversified modes, and in a more conveniently way.

In addition, the Hunan Public Voluntary Tree Planting Website has also developed the function of real-name adoption of trees or green spaces. Individuals, families, enterprises, and institutions can donate funds to adopt trees or green spaces according to the plan issued by the management department. When a tree or green space is adopted, the public will be notified the adoption status of the tree or green space when they scan the adoption QR code.
