The Hunan-Guangdong International Logistics Channel is one of Hunan's international logistics corridors that integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative, and the China-Africa Rail-Sea Express is a "landmark project" of the channel. The China-Africa Rail-Sea Express Corridor takes Zhuzhou North Station as a transport hub to handle exported goods from Hunan and central and western provinces by rail, road and water. The goods are delivered southward to Guangzhou Nansha Port, Yantian Port and Shekou Port by trains, and then shipped to all parts of the world. In 2022, the station handled 242 trains with 19,877 TEUs. On January 19, 2022, Liling South Station launched a special freight train loaded with porcelain products to European and American countries. On February 14, products manufactured by a Zhuzhou-based enterprise were shipped to Thailand, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. In the first two months of 2023, a total of 68 trains with 5,629 TEUs were handled. It is expected to handle 400 trains throughout the year.
