"Where can I stay before boarding my train?" "Where should I go to change my ticket?" Pan Meilan (Chinese name), a Lao student studying in the Changsha Social Work College, answered these questions from passengers and offered assistance patiently at the Changsha Railway Station.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the call to learn from Lei Feng by Mao Zedong and other older generation revolutionaries. Lei Feng is a late ordinary soldier, and a role model in China celebrated for selflessly helping others. On this occasion, a group of Malaysian and Lao students studying at the Changsha Social Work College volunteered to serve passengers at the Changsha Railway Station with their Chinese schoolmates.

They worked patiently on reminding passengers of boarding, ticket inquiry, and order maintenance at the Lei Feng Service Counters, facial recognition devices, waiting halls, and waiting rooms for special passengers, helping solve problems of passengers and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.

"I was so excited when I was called a 'living Lei Feng'! That was the highest praise for me as a volunteer!" said Lan Zhicong (Chinese name), an international student from Malaysia. He learnt about Lei Feng's stories when he was in Malaysia. After he came to Changsha, the hometown of Lei Feng, he became a "living Lei Feng" and continued the "Lei Feng stories" with his behavior. "I've learned a lot in ideology and communication with others through the 'learn from Lei Feng' activities," he said.

The Changsha Social Work College has launched a "learn from Lei Feng in Lei Feng's hometown" themed campaign this year. Several volunteer teams of teachers and students carried out various volunteer services at railway and bus stations, communities, enterprises, campuses, and charity houses, to carry forward the Lei Feng Spirit.
