The year 2023 is the first year for fully implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the third year for carrying on the "14th Five-Year Plan".
The newly appointed Hunan-based members of the CPPCC National Committee from 24 sectors have made efforts to connect with the grassroots and front-line communities; engaged in close communication with people from various fields; conducted in-depth surveys and research through various methods; and extensively listened to people's opinions, addressed their needs, and pooled their ideas and strength, to better participate in the national annual session and perform their duties. They carefully prepared a number of proposals that focus on overall development and addressing people's concerns, and are "full of golden ideas".
The members noted that they would comprehensively follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the second plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee; coordinate efforts to promote democracy and unity while making proposals on state affairs and building consensus; actively make suggestions and give advice on economic and social development; contribute to the advancement of Chinese modernization in Hunan Province; and, shoulder responsibilities as members of the CPPCC National Committee in the new era.
In order to better participate in the deliberation and administration of state affairs, the newly elected members had attended a training course designed for new members of the CPPCC National Committee in advance.
